They use an immense amount of leaves in their cuisine, and beef with spicy argula and also lotus root salads are very good. As an odd addition, french fries in Vietnam seem especially tasty.

@cach lam kim chi: Thank you for that amazing suggestion! I had never heard of bun mam before so I googled it. It looks delicious! I love Vietnamese shrimp paste.

I guess you can find bun mam easily anywhere in the Mekong Delta region? I went to Ben Tre, Sa Dec, and Can Tho in September 2019 but I didn’t know about this dish yet. 🙁

Seem like you have tried so many of Vietnamese food. But there’s an amazing food from “mien Tay” area of Vietnam that many people don’t mention. That’s “bun mam”!!
I know it looks like other dishes like “bun bo hue” or “pho” but the soup is totally unique!! Try it next time ^^
